CHARLESTON -- For those beginning the new year with a resolution to stay healthy, fitness expert and author Cindy Boggs has some strategies.
Boggs will discuss ways to overcome everyday health obstacles during a free Lunchtime Lecture at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the Clay Center's art gallery.
The Kanawha Valley YMCA fitness director will also introduce her new book, "You Can Find Health in Your Hectic World."
Boggs' book cuts through the confusion of today's fitness industry to offer simple suggestions on how to develop a healthy lifestyle despite a hectic schedule.
Boggs is the director for West Virginia's Activate America, a nationwide YMCA initiative for better health. She regularly visits various support groups, schools and churches to promote positive lifestyle choices.
The Clay Center's Lunchtime Lecture series takes place once a month and is free and open to the public. Each 45-50 minute program features a community presenter with an exciting new topic each month. For more information, visit www.theclay center.org or call (304) 561-3517.
